The last two and a half years have seen some 15 projects brought to completion - or near completion. These vary in size from the large (up  to £300K) to the small (£40K plus).

Some projects move rapidly from inception to completion - a year being a normal time span if full planning is included. These have included Mitford Cottage and West Lodge, Faringdon. Others start and stop as clients' priorities/finance shift and change - such a project is 67 Bagley Wood Road which has taken nearly five and half years.

Many achieve planning stages and then remain on-hold until further notice such as The Old Farm, Bledlow Ridge  and 2 Mill Lane, Iffley, Oxford  (Listed Building)

Increasingly clients prefer to manage their own projects - and the emphasis has shifted from construction stage management to the Feasibility, Planning and Working Drawing stages.

Clients are also moving on to new pastures and generating new projects - Tony and Kirsty Pidgeon from Wiggins Farm to West Lodge and Mike & Yolanta Gill from 44 Chalfont Road to 191 Woodstock Road. It is good to be able continue successful working relationships and the second project is easier than the first!

We continue to have a good relationship with planners both in Oxford City and around the County - and of schemes that have been submitted for full planning only one has failed in the last 8 years. The feasibility stage sorts out schemes that are impractical prior to making formal applications.

Sustainability issues are gaining importance - and with the full implementation of HIPs will make the market respond to improvements in energy performance, that have been hitherto ignored. On the principle of testing new technology before imposing it on clients, we have installed solar panels and a low impact- summerhouse at 7 Hill Top Road.
