Plough Cottage: Stone-Work in Progress

The studio was constructed with traditional, vernacular materials. Cotswold stone and lime mortar were used for the exterior skin and oak lintels spanned the openings.

However, the interior skin could be built up with insulated block-work. This ensured that the studio was not only in keeping with the original house but also complied with modern energy-saving requirements.
