There are 4 roof pitches in a small area - which caused the builders to scratch their heads! One follows the existing outhouse, two pitched sections over the dining area maintain the slope necessary for the matching tiles and a small flat section of roof is incorporated. 

Internally this separates the dining from the kitchen area and provides a continuous visual passageway from the front door through to the garden.

As with 7 Hill Top Road, metal ties are used to prevent the roof 'spreading', and the insulation is placed outside the timbers to keep the frame warm and thus free of condensation.
