This
is the view through the existing house - which is now transparent from
front to back and neighbours have been known to peer through to witness
the transformation. The plasterwork is a natural off white with a
beeswax finish - another technique gleaned from North Africa and applied
carefully by Rae Browne.
The
light is reflected off the light surfaces and tiles and into the
existing house - which remains light and open.
The kitchen (by David Apthorp) is tucked away to one side and
pieced together from a batch of maple floorboards kindly donated by the
contractor - Pearson Homes. |
