The client was looking to convert the loft of her Victorian house to create a lettable space to generate income. In addition, the house needed some general refurbishment and repairs – particularly the roof and the electrics. The budget did not stretch to a kitchen extension.   The matching staircase has been lit from above with a rooflight that brings sunlight into the heart of the house. The use of wood floor with good acoustic separation, together with high standards of insulation and plenty of rooflights has resulted in a surprisingly spacious room.

The result is a loft conversion that is very tightly planned to include en-suite shower, kitchenette, storage as well as a study bedroom. Through the arched bedroom window there are great vistas over the gardens of Headington.  This view raises the outlook as well as the spirits.
